Tigre’s Port of fruits

Address: Sarmiento y Los Ceibos s/n – Tigre

This picturesque amble in the open will let you see how the local people make use of the area’s natural resources into the manufacture of crafts, furniture and homemade jams. The “Puerto de Frutos” is well known for furniture made of wicker, crafts made of wood, cane and leather plus interesting antiques. This special commercial area has three docks on the river. The first one is the point of departure of excursions aboard catamarans towards the islands. The central one is the warehouse of patrol and transport motorboats that are at the service of the islanders. On weekends they are also used for tourist purposes. On the last dock there are wood transporting ships.
Bear in mind that this is not only a different commercial area in the open but it is also a place where you will find restaurants on the river shore where to enjoy delicious fish.
