Trains in Patagonia
There are three railroad lines in operation in Patagonia, but
none of them connects with Buenos Aires.
They are:
Tren Patagónico
Two weekly services between the cities of Viedma
and San Carlos de Bariloche
in the Province of Río Negro through the Central
Patagonia.
There are 2 options: regular train and land cruise.

TROCHA ANGOSTA (La
Trochita)
The famous narrow track with steam locomotive.
The original service was from Ingeniero Jacobacci in the Province
of Río Negro up to Esquel in Chubut. Today it runs Esquel,
western Chubut, and Nahuel Pan.

EL TREN DEL FIN DEL MUNDO (Train of the
end of the world)
It is a small tourist train leaving from the Municipal Camping,
8 k. From the city of Ushuaia,
Tierra del Fuego.
It operates everyday of the year touring the Tierra del Fuego
National Park in 2 hours and 20 minutes. 14 km. round trip. There
is a regular bus from Ushuaia to the station.

STEAM TRAIN AT BARILOCHE
This train covers a route about 40Km. long, between Bariloche
and the Perito Moreno station, where the steppe meets the Andes.
At this place there is a restaurant and you can hire horseback
riding services. it is an excellent option that combines the charm
of the landscapes with the thrill of touring the area in an old
formation, with wooden wagons that have been recycled keeping
all the original details.
