Description
This is a half-day excursion that takes you to the town of Colonia Wanda, 40 km away from Puerto Iguazú, to visit mines of semiprecious stones; in a guided tour, you will be able to visit the quarry. The deposit’s special feature is that it has an open pit, letting you appreciate quartz crystal, amethysts, topaz, and agate in their “natural” state. There is also a store where you can buy sculpted stones and jewelry.
