We had a blast!!! It was great to spend the time as a family, since we dont have opportunity often. All of your planning, from the hotels to the drivers and tour guides to recommended destinations were superb and on point. The Glacier was our all time favorite life experience. We could not get enough of it. The Boat ride and gourmet lunch were awesome. We thought that was the best day. But then we got to hike on the ice, which was also great, but then we got to view the Glacier from a park across the Lake...
We loved the Wine Country. The best meal of our trip was on the last stop of the wine tour. I never thought I could last a day drinking wine, but I did not miss a drop. It was really enjoyable and we met some very nice people and tasted some great wines.
The hotels were nice all over. We loved the Carles in Buenos Aires. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. We played cards on the rooftop our last night. We enjoyed all Buenos Aires had to offer. We got lucky with great weather overall (not a single drop of rain the entire time, and the expected cool but hardly intolerable chilly weather in El Calafate and Ushuaia was nothing these intrepid Chicagoans couldnt handle).
If I were to do it again, I would spend another day and tour in Mendoza, and go to the Glacier last.
