In order to reach here you must take National route 22 from <a href=\"\/i\/central\/neuquen\/neuquen.php\">the city of Neuqu\u00e9n<\/a> up to Zapala and then provincial Routes 46 and 23, traversing Laguna Blanca National Park and heading for Alumin\u00e9 (121 Km. from Neuqu\u00e9n). Finally you drive the last 63 Km. bordering river Alumin\u00e9 up to Villa Pehuenia, where the Batea Mahuida Snow Park is.<\/p>\n<p>The main difference in this case is that <b>this Snow Park was created and is run by the Puel Mapuche Community<\/b>, owner of the land.<\/p>\n<p>It features a portable Skilift (300 m.) and you can rent Alpine Ski equipment but, since as for now their offer is scarce it is advisable to take your own stuff with you.<\/p>\n<p>There is a snack bar where you can taste the regional &#8220;pi\u00f1ones&#8221;, a sacred fruit for the Mapuches.
