Driving along <strong>Lakes Guti\u00e9rrez and Mascardi\u00a0<\/strong>you take the<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>dirt road<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and after crossing the bridge over R\u00edo Manso you reach the base of Tronador-Pampa Linda where you stop for lunch.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9330\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9330\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9330\" src=\"https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/BRC-LagoMascardi-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"Lago Mascardi\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/BRC-LagoMascardi-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/BRC-LagoMascardi.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9330\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lago Mascardi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>At the end of the road, after a forest of coihues and lengas you will see the Black Glacier (Ventisquero Negro). <\/strong>The itinerary ends further ahead at the foot of the Tronador, with its characteristic peaks\u00a0<strong>Argentino\u00a0<\/strong>(3410 m.),\u00a0<strong>Internacional\u00a0<\/strong>(3554 m.) and\u00a0<strong>Chileno<\/strong>\u00a0(3470 m.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Cascada de Los Alerces (waterfall) is a variation of this excursion. <\/strong>Before crossing the bridge over R\u00edo Manso, you go around Lake Los Moscos and R\u00edo Manso until you reach Lake Hess, the road ends after crossing the Roca River and you have to walk some 300 m. to get to a lookout point and <strong>admire the imposing Cascada de Los Alerces.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9327\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9327\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9327\" src=\"https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/BRCCascadaLosAlerces-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"Cascada Los Alerces\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/BRCCascadaLosAlerces-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/BRCCascadaLosAlerces.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9327\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cascada Los Alerces<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>You will have to remember that the road, after Lake Mascardi, is a <strong>dirt road and it is one way for ascent until 2 p.m. and after that time it is only one way for descent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9329\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9329\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9329\" src=\"https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/BRC-CerroTronador-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"Cerro Tronador\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/BRC-CerroTronador-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/BRC-CerroTronador.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9329\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cerro Tronador<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ask for information about the condition of this road in the city, specially in the winter season, since it is frequently closed due to weather conditions.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Tronador via Lake Mascardi<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Leaving from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/?p=115\">Bariloche<\/a> or Puerto Mascardi. The boat navigates to the <strong>foot of Cerro Cresta de Gallo, Bonete and Punta Negra to arrive at Puerto Tronador.\u00a0<\/strong>From there by bus, you continue until Pampa Linda and afterwards to the Black Glacier (Ventisquero Negro). You return by bus and boat.
