Glaciarium is a modern interpretation glaciological centre, and one of the few Glacier Museums in the world. The understanding of glaciers and environmental awareness are the main subjects.<\/em><\/h2>\n

The architecture is quite unique and the fa\u00e7ade of the building is reminiscent of the face of a glacier. The exhibits include models, dioramas, photographs, screens, interactive representations, a 3D documentary, and other modern resources that provide an enriching experience.<\/p>\n

Glaciarium is open from 9 AM to 8 PM during the tourist season, and from 11 AM to 8 PM during winter (May to August).<\/p>\n

You can get there from\u00a0downtown El\u00a0Calafate\u00a0in\u00a0a shuttle service running from the\u00a0building of Provincial\u00a0Tourism Department every hour.\u00a0Ask for\u00a0Glaciarium\u00a0transfer.
\nIf you decide to\u00a0go on your own, take\u00a0Route 11, the same that leads to the\u00a0Perito Moreno Glacier, and\u00a0drive 6 km.\u00a0from the center of El\u00a0Calafate.<\/p>\n

The facilities\u00a0include a caf\u00e9,\u00a0an ice\u00a0bar and an\u00a0Ecoshop, which\u00a0sells\u00a0a wide\u00a0choice of\u00a0objects made from discarded\u00a0materials, recycled and with low\u00a0environmental impact.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Glaciobar\u00a0Branca\u00a0is the first\u00a0ice bar\u00a0in Argentina\u00a0and the only with glacier ice.\u00a0A must for\u00a0an unforgettable experience\u00a0below zero, it has capacity for 25 people and\u00a0the maximum\u00a0stay\u00a0is 20 minutes.<\/p>\n
