Puerto Pir\u00e1mides is the only urban center in\u00a0 Vald\u00e9s Peninsula<\/h2>\n

It is surrounded by cliffs resembling pyramids and the waters are crystal clear. This small village is located on the Peninsula de Vald\u00e9s<\/a>, 97 km. from the city of\u00a0Puerto Madryn<\/a>, on the small Bah\u00eda de Pir\u00e1mides, in the Province of Chubut.<\/p>\n

Approximately six hundred people live there. Its surroundings are desertic, typical of the Atlantic Patagonia.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the 20th<\/sup>. century the town grew with salt extraction. Much time later, tourism became its main economic activity that shaped its present profile.<\/p>\n

The greatest affluence of these cetaceans occurs between September and November.<\/p>\n
