At this Park you can enjoy species like Pell\u00edn Oak, the Pehu\u00e9n and the Raul\u00ed. And best of all, all this beauty is surrounded by a breathtaking mountain landscape as well as twenty-four lakes of Glacial origins.<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>Its name derives from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/i\/andina\/junin\/lanin.php\">Lanin Volcano<\/a>, a 3,776 meters high peak that has eternal snows and dominates this Park&#8217;s landscapes from any of its angles.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\"  title=\"Lanin Volcano\" src=\"https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/images\/Sma_Lanin2.jpg\" alt=\"Lanin Volcano\" width=\"240\" height=\"170\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The dominant species in the north part of this park is the Pehu\u00e9n or Araucaria, the Mapuches&#8217; Sacred Tree. This conifer may reach 45 meters and its top resembles a sun umbrella.<\/p>\n<p>In the densest parts of the wood there is the Pud\u00fa, a small deer with its body perfectly adapted to this environment. It is one of the endangered species protected within this Park. The other one is a kind of mink called Huill\u00edn.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Lanin Volcano, Junin de los Andes\" src=\"https:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/images\/Sma_Lanin3.jpg\" alt=\"Lanin Volcano, Junin de los Andes\" width=\"240\" height=\"170\" align=\"right\" \/>In order to get to this Park, you depart from either\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/i\/andina\/junin\/junin.php\">Jun\u00edn de los Andes<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.patagonia-argentina.com\/i\/andina\/sanmartin\/sanmartin.php\">San Mart\u00edn de los Andes<\/a>, via Route National 234. Between these cities there is also the Chapelco airport that connects this area with the rest of the Country.
