Tren de la Costa (tourist train)

Address: Av. Maipú 2300 – Tigre

This is a railway line with the country’s most modern trains. In the beginning it belonged to an English company and its ownership was later transferred to the national state. It stopped working for 30 years and it started to worsen until in 1995 a private company bought it and turned it into a beautiful tourist ride.
The train joins the Maipú and Delta stations completing 15,5km along the coast of the Río de la Plata, a fact that allows for enjoying the traditional landscapes of the shores of the rio de la Plata. Most of the 11 stations were restored respecting their original English-style architecture.
Each station is a different proposal: commercial galleries, entertainment features, cinema theatres, antique fairs, restaurants, among many other proposals.
