Two Congresses Square

Address: Av Entre Ríos y Av Rivadavia s/n – Monserrat

This square is surrounded by Entre Rios, Hipólito Irigoyen, Rivadavia and Luis Saenz Peña streets.
There stands one of the best sculptures of the city, “The Thinker”, by Auguste Rodin. (1914)
In the center of this ample square stands another sculpture, the “Dos Congresos” (two congresses), facing the impressive National Congress.
This is where the two main political and institutional pillars of the country meet, starting at the Casa Rosada (the seat of the National Executive Power), and ending here at the National Congress building. This axis covers a distance that carries most key memories of the history of the country, such as demonstrations, protests and parades.
