Cheaper Fuel in Patagonia
Since 1991, below Parallel 42 (
from El Bolsón in the Andean Range to Sierra Grande in the Atlantic Zone)
to Tierra del Fuego, a 50% discount applies to all fuels.
From the 1st. of July, 1999 on, this promotion also applies to
the "Lake Corridor". In this case,
the reduction applies only to Premium (32% discount) and Regular (25% discount)
gasolines. Gasoil and kerosene are excluded.
The localities benefiting from this promotion are Junín de Los Andes, San
Martín de Los Andes, Villa
Traful, San
Carlos de Bariloche and Villa Mascardi.
The liter of Premium or Super will cost $0,65 and regular 0,58. With a maximum
fill of 90 liters, while containers only 20 liters. This is indeed good news
for resident patagoneans and tourists.
