Lake Mari Menuco

Take Route 7 towards the north. After 20 km. you will be in Vista Alegre, from here 45 km later you will reach Lake Mari Menuco that, together with Lake Los Barreales form a lacustrian complex. These natural basins were filled with a dam in the Neuquén River with the purpose of economic and tourist exploitation.

This is where the Planicie Banderita Hydroelectric Plant is located and equipped with two 225 kw. generators each one using a 69-meter fall.

In summer you can enjoy the resort areas, campings with a landscape of abundant vegetation. You can also practice different water sports like windsurf, canoeing, water skiing and fishing (atherines, trouts and perch).
