Manso river – Rafting to the frontier

Rafting to the frontier, Manso RiverAn excursion for those who already have had something of experience practicing this sport. The last section that the Manso river crosses in Argentina is surrounded by a monumental landscape and passes between steep and vertiginous expresses, that constitute everything of a challenge.

Departure from the hotel is scheduled at 9AM. approximately. The initial passage is the same one that leads to the locality of El Bolsón. Arriving to the country house of Villegas the route is abandoned acceding to the Manso’s Valley. The totality of this valley is crossed to where the path finishes, in front of the Batión Hill, of impressive view.

There, after the appropriated preparations, the descent by the river begins, displaying here one of its most spectacular passages. The section that is sailed is the one that goes from "La Pasarela" to the boundaries with Chile.

When arriving at the end, a very particular house is visited: it is the property of a settler who has the bordering landmark in his garden.

The returning to the point of departure is made by horse. The arrival to the hotel is scheduled at 7.30 PM. approximately.

Note :

  • This excursion can be made between the months of October to March.
  • It includes all the necessary equipment: the neoprene suits, life jacket, security helmet and kayak.
  • Also it is included breakfast, lunch and midday snack.
