Strudel “Aunt Elvira”

Once again, a simple, tasty and economic dish for our readers and cookers. A dessert to taste after a meal, or for tea time. Shoulders to the wheel!

Ingredients:

  • Butter 250 grs.
  • Green apples 4 Kg.
  • Sultanina pass 50 grs.
  • Nuts 150 grs.
  • Ground cinnamon 10 grs.
  • Sugar 600 grs.
  • Eggs 2
  • Vinegar 3 teaspoonfuls
  • Bitter chocolate ½ tablet
  • Flour 0000 800 grs.
  • Warm water 2 cups

Preparation:

Put the flour in crown form on the table, add 1 egg, 3 melted butter spoonfuls, the vinegar and the warm water to mix and let it rest in a warm place and covered, during 1 hour. Flour a sheet of butter paper and stretch the pastry on the paper with the hands, you must see it at reflected light (this is the point).
Having the pastry already extended on the paper, cover with the peeled apples cut in small bunches and without seeds add the nuts, passes, the cinnamon and the sugar to taste, roll with the same paper from an extreme to the other, then put it on a dish for oven.
Paint with yolk, powder with sugar, spray with melted butter and bake in oven 30 minutes.
