Port Villa la Angostura, Peninsula de Quetrihué and Arrayanes Wood

 The port of Villa La Angostura is on Lake Nahuel Huapi and close to the town.

It has two piers, separated by the entrance isthmus to the Quetrihué Peninsula. A small shopping center, the seat of the Prefectura Naval Argentina and the Park Ranger´s house are located as you enter the pier on the left side. The “Expedicionarios del Desierto” square is in front. The other pier offers bar service and boat and windsurf rental.

You can enter the Peninsula de Quetrihué on foot or horseback.

At a distance of 12 km. you reach the spectacular and millenary Bosque de Los Arrayanes, where trees with incredible yellow colors will astonish you. It is said that the “Pudú Pudú” small deer, and a cabin nearby inspired Walt Disney for his famous cartoon “Bambi“.

This forest is also frequently visited from San Carlos de Bariloche on a lake tour. It can also be reached during the summer from Puerto Villa La Angostura.
